07 GL450 died while driving twice
Hi. I have an '07 GL450 that I have yet to have any major problems with. Twice today it has died while I have been driving. The first time I pulled into a parking lot and the engine shut off...steering and brakes locked up. I had to wait a few minutes before it would start again. The 2nd time same thing but it started right away. Any ideas on what this could be? No check engine light came on. The only connection between the 2 times that it died was that I had just made a right turn into the parking lot the first time and the 2nd time I was in the process of turning right. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You are pushing the start button with your right knee.
Or your cpc is dying. Cheap fix.
If not one of the above two- it could be 100 other things. The car would need to be read.

I'm going to assume you aren't hitting the start button. I'm really going through cobwebs here, but I seem to remember issues with the 2007's dying like that. I remember Momsbenz having to be towed several times and it might have been a battery issue?

sorry. meant cps. crank position sensor.
when it starts going it will malfunction when engine hot (not detect crank revolutions) and the computer will cut fuel resulting in engine stopping.
this is a common problem

I've also seen people without keyless go who are knocking the key cockeyed with their knee and same thing happens as if you hit the button with your knee.
