I just picked up myu 2012 350 recently. I understand its normal to get the puff. But mine is loud. It startled my wife while she was standing beside the car, and it's very audible inside the car.

I don't have any means of comparison.

Yes, it's fairly loud. To my knowledge the "Puff" wouldn't be any louder or quieter if something were wrong. I hear it on my truck all the time. It kinda sounds a bit like a horse to me. I don't think you should worry.

Hope that makes you more comfortable .

I wish it were a puff, mine is more like a very loud clang. I also have an ML with Airmatic but never heard any noise, not even a soft puff.
