There is no battery indicator reset. Whatever caused your battery indicator to activate is still present.

Have your alternator tested.

Can you provide more details about your "battery indicator"? And how did you try to reset it?

When I first stat the car the battery symbol on the message display shows up on the display. It also shows 1 message. I have to page down for it to go away. I have tried to reset it the reset service instructions, but no luck it is still there.

And what color is this battery symbol? Was it the main battery that you've replaced?

Symbol is black, and it was the main battery.

I think what a2j was asking was the battery icon white or red outline? See the example below, they are all "black" as that is the screen background.

White indicates auxiliary battery, red indicates primary starting battery (big battery).

Here is a pic that shows both. If the auxiliary battery is dead or dying and you replaced the main battery you'd still get the error message.

main battery is large one on left, auxiliary is small battery on right.

That is it, so I need to change out the aux battery. Where can I get this type of battery?

OEM seems to be dealer only, but Batteries Plus and Battery Mart both have generics that work just fine, it's a very simple 12v 1.2ah small Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) battery.

Did changing the alternator solve the white battery message? I’ve changed both my aux batt and alternator with no avail. Does it need to get up to a certain speed to reset the message?
