Are there any dealers that offer a discount on the nav updates? I haven't bothered to update since 2011, as we tend to use a smartphone app which is easier to use and more accurate. I'd like to get the latest update, but a discount would be nice.

I just purchased a 2014 NAV update on eBay for $149. It seems to work perfectly AND isn't "locked" to my vehicle. Unless I'm mistaken, it could be used again and again. Somebody tell me what I'm missing here.

I did the same thing - I purchased a used 2014 update off eBay for about $100. When I was looking for a copy, I just made sure the pics also showed the case so I (hopefully) wouldn't get a pirated copy. Put the disc in the Nav and it loaded right up. No problems at all. The best way to go, in my opinion.

I use Waze for longer trips, but for around-the-town trips, it works great.
