Question What tools are needed to remove front airbag shocks..?

Good Day MBWorld members, I'm about to (do it myself) replace my from airbag shocks on my 2008 GL320 w/o ADS. Before I start the job can anyone advise me on the size wrenches needed to perform this operation? Lastly, since I don't have a car lift can I do the job with my floor jack? Thanks for all input and suggestions

Different Benz but I'd assume the process is similar.

For a 2008? A prayer.

Your shock bottom bolt will be fused to the lower control arm busing. Depending on the phase of the moon you will either tear the bushing (and require a new lower control arm) or be able to push the bolt after twisting it with a 4 foot breaker bar and pushing it with a puller. Every single one I have seen has fought like it is Sparta...

Have you watched the videos at Arnott industries web site? Both front and rear are shown AND they show the tools needed for each.

You're in Alabama and likely the vehicle has never seen salt. Don't worry, you'll be fine.
