HJS DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER
I recently changed my OEM fully clogged ceramic particulate filter, on my MB GL 320 CDI 2007, for an HJS CITY PARTICULATE FILTER.
http://www.hjs.com/aftermarket/produ...ty-filter.html
I works good, emission flow much better, but the dpf differential sensor still lights up the MIL with the P242F code for ash accumulation in the particulate filter.
I changed the sensor for a new one, but the MIL still lights on with the same code.
I want the MIL off.
I have attached some pictures of the filter I bought and the installation process that sent me the seller.
Any suggestions.
Best regards.
Francisco.

Did you schedule soot burnoff cycle with star/ das? You might need to.
If that doesn't fix it- talk to the vendor. This is an aftermarket part that I have never seen and chances are nobody else here have either.

Hi ALX:
I haven't found, who has DAS here in El Salvador. Star Motor dealer do not accept MB's other than the ones they import. Can this be done with a non DAS professional grade scanner?

In El Salvador is not illegal to play around with the DPF filter, but I want to keep it for ecological reasons. How can I fool the the sensor to the correct differential pressure, to turn the MIL off?

Any luck resolving this issue? If I can make a suggestion, it's possible that the pipes that measure the differential pressure to/from the DPF are clogged with ash which fools the ECM into thinking the DPF is still clogged. I just had my DPF cleaned and still have the P242F code as well. I'm currently looking into this myself.

+1 for green diesel
It is this emissions junk that is killing theses cars faster and starting half the threads on this forum. The dpf is do restrictive to begin with and then you are going to expect the regen cycles to take care of it. Not to mention having to use inferior oils to protect it, taking their toll on the engine. Combine with the headaches or problems caused with the egr, ccv, swirl motors..... 😡😫
