Mysterious fluid leak......

2010 low mileage GL in moderate climate................A tablespoon or so of olive oil like fluid, dripped from the center, bottom, of the front passenger door onto the black plastic trim strip running along the bottom of the truck, thence to the floor.
The GL hasn't been serviced for months, nor exposed to rain or washing. What could it be? Window motor lube?

Are you positive that it dripped FROM the door onto the trim? Was there evidence of oil on the bottom of the door? Could someone have spilled something on their way out of the car?

Is there any evidence of oil on the window or rubber "wiper" where the window enters the door? If something dripped there, I would imagine that it would eventually make it's way out from between the inner door card and metal part of the door.

Unless I'm mistaken, there would only be grease used in/on the window motor - which wouldn't drip like that.

No, I finally laid down on my back and examined the bottom of the door.....no evidence of any oil there. I guess it's just one of those unexplained events..........

Weird. I'm gonna go with either someone spilled something getting out or someone in a parking lot spilled something and it splashed up against your door... heck of a good aim, though!
