Shopping for 2012 GL 450
Hey crew,
New guy here.
Looking to obtain a 2012 GL 450 for the wife. I'm an American truck/SUV guy who started out his driving life with a 1978 Blazer, so the European stuff is pretty alien to me. I presume it's going to be like shopping for every other kind of used vehicle, only a little bit more upscale than what I usually wind up with (until next year, when I nab a 2018 F-250 Platinum).
Any words of wisdom to impart? Seems like in my sector, vehicles with low miles are priced out in the mid-30s or so.
Thanks in advance!

ideally you want to have the truck hooked to a star/ das and check all stored errors (especially ones for the turbine speed sensors in the tranny), but that might not be possible during the sales process.
lastly drive at slow speed over some bumps and listen for clunks in the front end- some trucks are noisy and there is no fix.
the rest is pretty standard for a large suv.
