Starter will occasionally not crank, especially if cold outside. Advice I have been given is the starter is bad. My question. Where is the starter located(driver or passenger side of engine) and how is it accessed(under the car or through the wheel wells). I've replaced starters in many other cars, but just looking for advice on the difficulty of replacing it on my GL. BTW.....its not the battery or contacts. Battery new, contacts all clean. Reading minimum 12.5V at the battery and jumper points in the engine bay. Alternator charging at correct voltage.

Have a look under the truck. You will see it. But the truck should really be read wth star/ das before you swap the starter. No crank can be a few things. Bad starter on om642 is not common.
