Deciding when to place an order a 2014 GL350

Trying to decide when to place an order a 2014 GL350. Sounds like they are taking orders now but 350's won't be delivered until Oct. If I got a July slot I'd rather not have my car sitting in the sun for months waiting for inventory build up and CARB to pass testing. I wonder how fast slots are being booked up in Bay Area, California to time my build for the least amount of time sitting in a lot.

You build what you can ship/bill to dealers - GL350 production will most likely start mid-September for October release upon regulatory approvals.

Earlier production will be fully booked with gassers.

Makes sense, thanks. As usual, I'm over thinking and out smarting myself.

2014 GL350BT
Fabbris, why is my SA saying he can deliver a 2014 GL350BT in July?

Said my 2013 order was dead.

Because your FL SA either doesn't know any better - or is being told incorrect info from his management - you got misinformed once, that's on you, but sticking with those same people seems at little like leading with your chin doesn't it ?

If the dleaer has a factory PO - that's a confirmed order and info can be discreetly checked - no PO, then that is chit-chat to tie you up.. I would suspect there "might" be something hanging open with another dealer in striking distance, you might broaden your horizon a bit and check..
