Thanks for the feedback.
1. I was told that you have to add both on the 350/450, on the 550 it already includes the adaptive damping so the active curve would only be the 2900. Does that make sense or do you think there is still something wrong with that?
2. I think a few people talked about the wheels above, the reality is that I like the look of the 19s better than the 20s.
3. I don't think we've ever felt the need for sunshades. Even when the kids were infants and we got the portable ones, we never used them.
4. My dealer is going to check on the lower wrapped dash. I would hope that the Designo option includes that. Can anyone that actually has the Designo interior confirm one way or the other?

oh, I saw a car with the manual rear sunshades. I thought it was really tacky. So, I took that off the order. I also took lockable rear storage compartment off.
Also, how come rear side airbags has not price next to it?

I also would like some final word on the Easy Entry vs P01 issue. I have a GL450 on order and they are telling me the Easy Entry is $400 on top of the P01 cost. So is Easy Entry separate from P01? Can I get P01 and skip the Easy Entry? My dealer seems to have no clue.

Attached is the MY14 ordering guide. I would think a dealer would have this. I am pretty sure it is an MB USA document.

My dealer told me that the 2nd row power easy entry was part of P01 for 2014. It is interesting that on raysmd's order P01 costs $3,680 and on mine it is $4,070. Maybe that order is not US? I am in South Carolina for what that's worth.

Hi - I have a 2014 order pending at dealer and was told today that power entry was removed from P1 b/c of headrest complaints- primary those who need it install carseats. It's now a separate $400 option and P1 cost lowered to about $3600 to reflect that.
Anyone with the power entry feel the headrests are uncomfortable since they seem as though they stick out and can push your head too forward??

Seems like it has changed for MY14. I have a GL63 in production and it was changed for that also. Power entry is now a separate option.

If they split that back out then I'm not sure which way to go. I was going to get it but if it really makes it uncomfortable for children (in my case not car seats but kids out of car seats but under 5' tall) then there is no point having the power fold. The ironic part of that is that this option makes the most sense when you have children and they use the 2nd and 3rd row so it seems a bit silly if the power option makes the car worse for the kids in the 2nd row.

The "3rd option" is to get EZ Entry - but negotiate with the dealer on order/purchase to unlink the mechanism from the headrests - which allows you to use the EZ Entry feature - but makes it's the owner's responsibility to either make sure the headrests are down - or that the headrests are removed entirely. That shop process takes 20/30 minutes if the dealer has done it before. I am not saying that is perfect - but I am saying it's a 3rd solution that others have resorted to that has been discussed here.

I spoke with my dealership today and can also confirm Power easy entry has been removed from p1. I'm glad I contacted them, because they added that option on to my build, so I had them remove it.

Just couldn't get excited about it. Ordered everything I wanted, just like in 07, but as then, don't seem to care about Distronic. I'm sure if I drove with it it would hook me, but ignorance is bliss for now (and a few bucks too).

Current: 2014 GL350 BTC Palladium/Black, 2009 BMW 328i. Previous: 2012 MB GL350 BTC, 2007 R350
2014 Gl 350 order
I initally got 2K off, had to push for 3K off - got it and got additional 2K fleet discount - so total 5K off, + good deal on 2012 GL350 trade. Hopefully not bad for a 2014 GL350 order. There are no GL350s to be purchased off the lot in southeast, all are custom orders.
