Strange, I don't visually "see" it but don't know how MT would be wrong, either

If the 2016 GLS63 looks this good from the front and comes with those black wheels and red calipers, I'm ordering one ASAP. That is a very attractive design.
What do you guys think of it?

Very nice looking! To bad I need (ok want) a third row.

2013 GL450
Impressive design. I too need the cargo space, not particularly a third row seat, but all of the extra cargo space behind the second row. If this is what the mid-cycle update looks like along with what I hope are some nice updates on the inside, I am in!

Ah I miss read. I'm waiting for the GLS too. If it comes this summer I will go this route. If not, I will go with the current GL model and upgrade in 2018/19.

It's interesting that they have 6 engine options (hybrid, 4 cyl diesel, 6 cyl diesel, 6 cyl gas, 8 cyl gas, 8 cyl '63'). Maybe there's hope for the 8 cyl GL450 again. Hey, a guy can dream.

This had GLE63 badging and obviously isn't a ML or GL. Is it really a GLS?

The vehicle spotted in that thread is the new GLE Coupe (ie: BMW X6M)

Stephen Cannon, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA:
Cannon, also responsible for the entire North American market, explained the company’s new naming strategy prior to the New York show: “It’s pretty simple: GL means SUV and stems from our classic G-Class … And the final letter stands for the platform. We set our SUV entry point with the GLA. A refreshed GLK will become the GLC. Later this year the GL will become the GLS, the S-Class of our SUV lineup.”(Be prepared ---there will be a pop quiz on all this at the end of the class). … The star of the show, a plug-in hybrid offering a 329-horesepower V-6 with another 114 hp of electric power and range of about 25 km, won’t be coming to Canada in part because Canadians favour the diesel engine while Americans disfavour the diesel.

This. I wonder what the "my sources say next spring" people will say now? The earlier interviews weren't enough, the document wasn't enough so hopefully now a 2nd interview will eliminate any doubt.

I know this was the case a number of years ago, but now I believe the GL350 is the hardest model to get with the longest wait time and less discounting.
No?

Not sure about the hardest but definitely less discounting at least in the NE, people and limo companies love the diesel
