MB hasn't said a word about CarPlay for more than a year. Apples CarPlay site still lists MB as a committed partner. Offering CarPlay would ease owner-criticism of their outdated COMMAND system, so you would think MB would be working hard to get CarPlay into the X166 ASAP.
To say nothing about those who recently purchased an S-class or C-class that was to include support for CarPlay.
