How do you like your new GL350

I just got my GL350 and love it. Coming from a GL450, the MpG is the most noticeable advantage. The engine is very quite ant it handles like a sedan.
I just wanted to hear from other GL350 owners on their experience.

Congrats. Enjoy and it's great to read the positive transition from your X164 to X116. What color did you get?

I've had my 2015 GL350 for 14 months now and it just turned to 22,000 miles. My first diesel and I love it. Most of my miles are highway and it's the best 'roadtripper' I've ever owned. Great comfort and performance. Most people who take a ride with me say "If you had not told me, I'd never know it's a diesel". And, I've averaged about 24.5 mpg over those 22k miles.

I have a 2014 GL 350 and my right side motor mount breaks when I only have 27K miles on it. (most free way, never off road) Dealer replaced all three mounts and now it still vibrates but dealer said it's normal.

If the vibration is that noticeable, then you need to find a NEW Service Department IMHO!

We have a 2014 GL350 and love it. We had two previous ML350s with diesels and already knew how much we like diesel over gas. Ours is Black with ventilated beige leather. Friends are always surprised when we tell them its a diesel.

I do not feel any difference.
I always drive using the cruise control. So I always bring the speed to 20mph using the foot pedal, then I let my fingers do the driving, at this point I let the car do its own acceleration. To me it has the same power as the 450.

The old V8 was not twin turbo. It was naturally aspirated. It was still a big difference in acceleration and even more so since 2013 when the V8 became a twin turbo.

2014 GL 350 Bluetec
Mine is a 2014, and I love it. I have almost 50K miles and coming up on 3 years since I've had it in August. It drives like a sedan, very comfortable, roomy, and it's not too big. The diesel with the lag took some getting used to when shifting from first gear. It definitely doesn't have the get up and go others have. I do love the diesel for the fact that it acts like a stick shift. I can go down a hill and not have to put on the brakes as much as it can shift down and hold the car back. It is quiet and the mileage is awesome. It's $1.72 for diesel where I live right now and can't beat it! I have been told diesel engines will last longer than a gas.

We are considering a 2013 GL 350. Drove it yesterday and was very impressed by its handling and performance. Any major differences on '13 compared to '15 or '16 models? I recently read that for '17, the GL will be redesigned...

Major? Not really. Just the usual "beneath the skin" revisions that are typical on every vehicle along with some different combinations within option packages.

For '17 the updates are fairly minor (front/rear bumpers, revised Comand system with larger screen, 9G transmission) with a name change to GLS.
