Has anyone added these and if so, what do you think? I wonder if Mercedes crash tested them.

You would hope so or else that would be a big liability.

ProClip's are crash tested, at least the mounts are. I would trust MB OEM parts:

I considered this but ended up just using the charger port in the back for my Son's iPad, works great, no safety issues... and it actually charges quite quickly.
