Boost Pressure + Back pressure sensor 350 CDi M642

Hi There,

I am having a GL 350 CDi going in limp mode with with 2 faults registered : 2510-1 : Check Component Y 77/1. Boost pressure regulator. positioner signals Fault
2616-2 : Check Component B60 (exhaust back pressure sensor control variation) . Exhaust back pressure is too high

I did replace the back pressure sensor, cleared the faults and after a long test drive same problem, car goes on limp mode and faults re-appear.

Any ideas ???

Read your first post---you say you have a GL 350 CDI---that's a diesel---now in post five you post a VIN, however it is for a gas car------my question is what is the real car and what is the VIN for that car not your girlfriends car!!

Yes an M642(diesel) is not the same as M276(gas) and the M276 does not have the boost pressure regulator Y77\1

Any ideas?-----wait for Thaipusam

Gl350 bluetec
Dear Sirs, your kind advice is kindly appreciated.

I own a GL350 bluetec 2012 diesel with 150 thousand Km onboard. We have replaced the inter-cooler radiator due to an accident and one intercooler hose connected to the throttle valve.
The faults accuring now are the B60 Internal fault in the Back presure sensor (actual and B28/8 differentila pressure sometimes)

We have replaced the DPF even though the old one had good values, checked the Turbo which seemed to be perfectly working, the turbo module is also working fine. Cleaned the EGR which was also working fine. We are going crasy with this car..

the car idles with low back presure about 650 while specified range is (700-2000) and jumps to 3000 or to 4600 values at boost. The boost reaches up to 3000 rpm and never more.

your kind advice is kindly appreciated

can somebody advice pls

Hi there,

I have the same problem with the back pressure, at idle is normal , but while driving it goes up to 4.3 bar. At the same time my dpf wont complete its regeneration cycle due to a high temperature of the b19/11 sensor.

I have replaced parts worth 8000€ in this car and I have the same problem.

would you be so kind to let me know how did u sort your problem?

High back pressure due to clogged particulate filter. Use liquie moly dpf flush kit.
