2014 GL550 & 2013 Mini Cooper
On/Off-Road Package

I am looking for a CPO GL550 w/active curve system and bumped into one with an On/Off-Road-Package

Now as I am not an off-road person, would this be a burden to me...in regards to maintenance, repairs etc?

Please advice!

Btw its a 2014 GL550 with ~50k miles
Asking price $56k
has...Panorama, rear seat entertainment, driver assist package, heated rear seats along with active curve system and on/off-road package

What do you think about the price? Reasonable?

S 550
I have the same combo. It's not a burden at all. I know it seems odd to have off road on a 550 with the low profile tires but I like it for the added features. The main skid plate is hinged so if you need to pull it down for any reason you can.

A gaggle of MB's
When you say 50K miles - I assume over 50K miles - which means Mercedes New Car Warranty has expired - and if Mercedes CPO you will have 1yr Unlimited Mileage Certified Warranty - which is extendable prior to expiration of that 1yr - at additional cost up to another 2yrs.

Key elements are the service history - general condition inside and out - AND condition of the tires/brakes - AND if 50K service has been done - and get quote for your next service at 60K.

Price wise - assuming A-OK on the above - $56K Mercedes Certified would be about $4K low - from a non-MB dealer assuming A-OK on the above - $56,900 price is about market - if NOT A-OK on the above and NOT Certified - then run away.

Cool...I was juts wondering if it would need additional maintenance...Thanks!

I might as well not use it and maybe it would fetch when I resell it.

It is slightly under 50k miles...so the warranty is still on but will expire soon.

I have requested for the VMI and am waiting for that...hoping all the servicing is in place

From the carfax...
At 43k...Maintenance inspection completed
Air filter replaced
Battery/charging system checked
Brakes checked
Cabin air filter replaced/cleaned
Fluids checked
Oil and filter changed
Tire(s) balanced
Tires rotated
Wiper(s) replaced

At 48k...
Maintenance inspection completed
Brake fluid flushed/changed
Rear seatbelt assembly replaced -- Is this something I should be worried about?

BTW there is another vehicle that has the same options...Active curve system w/ off road package

2014 29.9k miles for $62k -- warranty expires 09/2017
vs
2013 49.4k miles for $56k -- warranty expires 03/2017

I am inclined towards the 2013 even though it has more miles as the warranty is just 6 months more...am I thinking it right?

I would never take it off road...I might use it in adverse snow/ice conditions, maybe a couple times an year

What's the difference between buying it from an MB dealer vs a non-MB dealer if both of them are MB CPO?

Err... non-MB dealer means it is no longer a CPO.
