Easy install...you need to remove the gas peddle (one bolt) to access the electrical connection...the change in how the throttle responds is amazing (I installed this device on my previous E Coupe)...very linear now...totally changes the dynamic "feel" of the throttle....I absolutely love it!!....well worth the time and expense (about a half hour and $289)....I highly recommend this.

Did you notice any improvements in the transmission shift points with the sprint booster?

What mode do you experience the throttle response? Manual, Sport, Eco etc.,

SB is hands down the best non-permanent non-warranty threatening maximum enjoyment "wow holy ****" mod you will ever do to your car. That a glowing enough reco?

It is the absolute **** and anyone, anyone saying differently either doesn't have one or is a total idiot.

ECU tunes for ppl on warranty are very bad advice unless you race the car and/or have tons of money laying around. x / h pipe is a pure vanity mod. SB is what you want b/c you can take it off in 10mins if you have to and the results of having it on are beyond stellar. I frankly don't get how everyone doesn't have one unless they don't actually enjoy driving.

@WhiteGLA, don't over analyze it. Go buy one now!

Thanks for your feedback. I'm not trying to over analyze. I'm just curious about the terrible shifting being improved (20mph in 4th gear), since I can't get any updates through the dealer.

sorry, didn't mean to sound agro, just passionate abt the SB. I notice much better holding of gears which is prob the adaptive learning being more accurate to what I actually want.

If you get one do a tcu reset after you drive it first for a bit. Really makes a huge diff to shifts after you do that and it re-adapts to sb. hope that helps

No worries, my wife biggest complaint is the shifting from the transmission and trying to figure out a fix. How do you get a TCU reset?

I didn't have to reset...just plug it in and go....in town I use the E mode (without the stop/start feature turned on) with the SB on green...very smooth now...on the highway I always use sport mode with the SB on red...instantaneous response...very aggressive...love it!!

correct, you definitely don't HAVE to ecu/tcu reset for sb benefits at all but it is definitely recommended to get the most out of the new mod. that first drive after sb install with the tcu reset is the best your car will ever feel.

Instead of that video link I deleted these are the exact directions to reset:

1. turn key to start position (2 clicks to just before it actually turns on)
2. hold gas pedal to the floor for 5 full seconds
3. while still holding pedal to floor turn key to the off position
4. release pedal
5. wait 2-5 minutes for reset (you will hear a small click from the key hole if it is done properly but don't stress if you don't hear that, it's easy to miss)
6. remove key, re-insert and start the car

* Do this exactly and you are good to go.

and yeah, my DD settings on the w204 are: sport, eco off, sb green.

I'm a bit ignorant, but I did read all about the sprint booster and watched reviews... So my question is "is this similar to driving in Sport mode?" Would that not also change how soon acceleration reacts? I thought the reason for the delayed acceleration was just to have higher MPG number while driving in ECO.

I think this device like a amplifier let the throttle response faster. Am I right?
