Garmin SD card for 2016 GLA250
Hi,
I just bought a GLA250 (2016) model, the sells guy told me that I can also purchase a SD card and use navigation on it. is that true?
there is SD slot in front of my dashboard that I was told it can be used for Garmin GPS or music.
Dealer is selling for $600 but I searched only, on email I can buy around $200 (brand new never been opened)
is this going to work for me, if I spend $200 or even then one that is $350 will I have navigation?
is there any other place that I can buy one that is cheaper?
I been seeing that they are mentioning Audio 20 and BR156 what are these?
sorry, I'm new!!
for example some of the items on ebay are:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...PILOT&_sacat=0
Thanks for all your help

We just picked one up as well. The Audio 20 is the base radio. The SD card navi should work if you hit the navi button and you get a message saying no maps installed or something like that. $200 is pretty reasonable. GL.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Frankly - I would be a bit cautious - check vendor return policy.
The Garmin SD card is made/supplied from Garmin - and once it is "linked" to a Audio 20 it will ONLY work for that specific Audio 20.
The $630 retail at MB dealer is set by Garmin - if I remember correctly dealer margin/profit is like $40 - no, the dealer does not get the genuine Garmin Card for $200 - dealer cost os like $580 or something like that.
Keep the beat !

Lots of successful installs from eBay purchased SD cards of ~$200 on glaowners.com. Even got voice commands working:
