brakes question

Hi guys,

I drove my new gla45 on two different occasions since I bought it. Both times it was quite cold outside. Everything is fine except the fact I hear a small ''whistle'' sound only when I'm slightly breaking. Is it a normal thing for high performance brakes in general , could it be because of the cold temperature or never in a million years should I be hearing this?

Thanks.

Mine has a slight brake squeal but I'm only 2 weeks into having it and it's been well below freezing here. Definitely the familiar squeal, not a whistle.

Thanks for the reply , yeah I used the term whistle for lack of better words but the sound I get must qualify for squeal as well.

I feel a bit better about it not being the only one getting this.
The c300 2013 I had before did not produce any sort of sound no mather the weather or anything but it was not the same type of brakes obviously.

You think it's normal?

if it does not clear up after say 500 miles at which time the rotors and pads will well bedded in take it in. It is not normal.
