GLC Engines - whats your wish list?

I'm excited to see the new update, i'm a diesel nut and a gas guzzling v8 won't do me any good so for me tuned diesel is the answer.

My wish is MB puts in a tuned 4 or 6 diesel with some serious spunk, a wee torque monster with some go!

If you could stuff the engine compartment with any MB engine, what would you get?

I know this is a fantasy question, but hey, I'm a dreamer

Not to worry they never offered a V-8 in a GLK only an AMG appearance package. There will be no V-6 initially offered it will be the C300’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 241 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 273 lb-ft of torque. They will follow with the V-6 and then a diesel.

My preference the V-6.

A really great diesel would be very nice. If it included not just a turbo but an engine brake it would be perfect. Gas like performance with diesel like mpg and features.
For those of us with a lot of city driving a hybrid might be a nice option to consider too.

After driving my GLK350 I prefer the V6. Massaged with a turbo if AMG version.

I have a 2013 GLK250 and I am very pleased my diesel! I would get another diesel in my next car or suv if it is available. I am totally happy with the power output. The turbos seem to get up and go whenever i need the extra push. Plus you can't beat the highway mileage! Lastly, diesel fuel is way cheaper than premium grade gas.

I read that MB are planning on phasing out diesels and replacing them with hybrids. Partly in response to crack downs on emissions in France & Britain where cars with high emissions will not be allowd into cities like Paris & London. Cost of meeting emission standards also no doubt a factor.

I knew I should have bought that 300SD instead of the GLK250

PS: My condolences re the VW.
