I hope and believe that maybe it's already on a ship.. Mine was on the ship for 7 days before I got an update from the dealer telling me the ship it was on a week later and that ship which I was already tracking (playing the guessing game) had left Bremerhaven 7 days prior.. So hopefully that's the case for Joe

Thanks guys...I don't expect to hear anything today as the SA is out on Wednesdays. I don't mind waiting per se as long as things are progressing but it makes me wonder what's wrong that it's been sitting for about 4 weeks.
The funny (or not so funny) thing is, my wife decided to get an X1 (only because I'm too tall for the GLA) and the dealer did a search on the options she wanted (M pkg, loaded) and it happened that there was one just off the assembly line that fit. She put a deposit down the weekend before last so that is being shipped over and at this point, looks like it will get here before mine. FML

Hey I got an update (sort of)...I'm told there is a pretty big backlog of cars waiting to ship since mid-Feb which is impacting a lot of orders. I haven't checked other model forums to see if anyone is experiencing the same.

Dealer finally gave me a production date & shipping date today. I placed the order at the end of January!

Wow, I wonder how they can give a port arrival date before the car even enters production?

I just rechecked the dealer's email. He says in his wording that arrival will be by June 25th, however the screen-cap shows a planned delivery date of 25th June but doesn't show the shipping date populated!

My wife was able to track her X1 on the WW site...it's scheduled to arrive in port on 3/25.

Wow 2 of them! My wife kinda wanted one too and I told her no way, we can't have the same cars.
As far as the wait goes, it seems historically they get put on a ship in about a week or less but mine has been in port for 3+ weeks and is still sitting there AFAIK (see my above posts). I'm told there's a backlog but we'll see.

Thanks! With 2 coming, I'm twice as impatient! My wife fell in love with the car as soon as she sat in it at the dealer, and I was ready to move on from the Acura. It was a great car, but had room for improvement. The first MB I ever rode in was my brothers 190SL back when I was about 8 years old. The dealer had the exact model and colors in their showroom and it brought back many memories for me so I decided it was time for me to finally have my first Mercedes.

2 cars is really exciting. As Joe was saying, his car has been waiting in Bremerhaven to be shipped for quite a while. My situation was different. My car was produced on Jan 27 and was in Dallas on Feb 22. It made it to Bremerhaven on Jan 29 and was on a ship bound for Brunswick via Charleston on Feb 3. It arrived in Brunswick on Feb 18.

Order placed Jan. 26, 2016 (made changes to existing dealer order that was still "in-the-green" on the NetStar system) Was told that production was scheduled for "2nd decade in March" meaning 11-20 March)

At end of February was told it was B3 and now in-the-red. No changes possible, and production scheduled for March 16th.

Spoke to dealer yesterday, March 16th, and miraculously my GLC had actually been built on March 11th and was now "B8" "Assigned to Ship." However, the ship name, or line, was not available. He said they might know that today. I would presume assigned to ship implies that it is at the port.

I have the VIN number. Someone here mentioned that on the Wallenius/Wilhelmsen web site you could search their data base by VIN to see if it was on one of their ships, but I could not find a place to search by VIN no.

Making progress though. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Put your vin number in under Cargo ID on the WW site. Your car could also on another shipping line.
