Air Balance Package??
Perhaps someone who has this option could comment on their experiences with it.
A intra-vehicular perfume atomizer and air ionizer??
I have never heard of such a thing. I sounds slightly interesting because of it's relatively low cost compared to most of the usual MB options.
Thanks
Al

Ignore the bit about their not being a fragrance option...I think he is incorrect.
I guess if you have allergies or are otherwise sensitive to odors, etc it might be worthwhile.

The post above is correct, contrary to some people's belief, the air balance package does in fact come with a fragrance atomizer. Not sure how exactly it works but I do know you either buy already filled vials with various scents they have (which sound excellent) or, you fill up one with your own alcohol based fragrance. It's an awesome option that many other auto manufacturers offer (at least at this price point). Same thing is seen in the 2014-present s class. There is a similar system in the new BMW 7 series. Except in that, it's more advanced because there's several scent you can put in and you can choose which one you want. In my opinion, at night, the leather, illuminated door sills, and ambient lighting from the interior package with the burmester audio system, and air balance package makes for a pretty plush experience that can't be replicated at the same price point with other brands. It's worth an order if you also don't like the the typical car odor known as french fries a la buttcrack.

Does anyone actually have (or have had) the air balance package? I have a friend in NY that thinks it's fabulous...interested in hearing others opinions. There aren't many discussions about it online that I can find.

Yes - I have delivered GLC w/air-balance and again - please do not confuse GLC Air-Balance/US-models with S-Class Air-Balance/US-models.. US/GLC does not have fragrance..

I did not order it on my car, but I have seen it on a car. It has the smells just like the S class.

It's interesting that there isn't a lot of commentary on it from owners one way or another. I actually think just having the ionizing filter (without the scents) would be nice. I asked over on the c-class forum as well since there are a lot more of those out there than GLC's currently on the road. Was this even an available option on the GLK?

Hello,
I tested the Air Balance Package with the 2016 S-Class, and it is very nice. The fragrance smells very good, not like other "fragrance" that you can buy in gas station.
About the ionization, I can't tell you so much about it, because I didn't feel the difference.

it's freaking Mercedes fault !
it listed as "cabin fragrance system".
I don't need to spend 350$ on some freaking perfume.
if they listed as ionic air system then I definitely get it when I ordered the car. I haven't take delivery on the car yet maybe til next week. but I found a car with air balance package, hud, m. Media, night package, 19" wheels, no surround view camera for 4890$ more at different dealer. I don't care about those other options, just not sure it's worth paying 4890$ more to get this air balance package. plus it has no surround view camera, my ordered car does.

maybe the system is plug and play. you just hook up the cable to the infotainment system.
i emailed 1 dealer about retrofit, no reply (yet).
going to email car alarm shop, custom auto shop, or bodyshop to see what they say. haha
what so tough about ionizer? it' just a system.
i bought this on amazon, i'm not sure if it really works or not.
