Starting Over

My salesman is no longer with the dealership. Despite my requests, he had never sent me a build sheet. Now I know why:
As my car was on the water, the sales manager sent me a build sheet. I discovered that the salesman had made changes to my order without my knowledge. So I rejected that car and started over with a new build. I hope to get it by the end of March.

Same thing happened to me. My sales guy at current dealer left a week after my order. Fortunately the GM said he would honor what was put in place as far as the deal I would get.

You have a nice build. I see you also didn't get Multimedia. I didn't either. I've had MB cars for years and years and I have never ONCE used the Navigation system in the car. Always used my phone if I needed directions... So for me the only reason would be the bigger screen. But the screen difference was not worth a few thousand extra.

I'd rather have it and rarely use it and than not have it and wish I got it. To each his own though.

I was just on a trip where cell coverage was quite spotty at best. Always glad to have nav. I guess you could download a map onto your phone if you have enough memory but I'm happy to pay for the convenience of nav.

See my post on purchasing media/command. I would not do without it. Cell phone great except when there is service, but worthless when there is no service when you are in the middle of nowhere

Maybe living in Los Angeles I rarely have the need for Navi.. Big city and rarely is anything in the middle of nowhere... I know the city inside out. There are many freeways that connect you from San Diego to Santa Barbara, from Palm Springs to Bakersfield ... and it's pretty easy to navigate those areas for me... Especially with the way the freeway system and exits run.

I guess depends on person and region. 12 years owning many different MB all with Comand and just realized after this topic I have not used the Navi system not even ONCE.

Same here. Regardless which brand or SUV or sedan, I always have my car have factory build-in navigation, not a aftermarket one or cellphone/nav device hook up on the windshield.

Just my personal preference. I am hoping to enjoy Nav guidance on HUD.

Thank you for your comment. My original order was all black with Nappa leather. After a while I was doubting that I would be all that happy with it. So I am pleased to hear that I will probably be much happier with my current choice.

I noticed you got air body control. did you test drive both air body and standard suspension? Im trying to decide whether or not to get it.

Thanks, Tripoli. Please let us know how you like it. Please disregard my other post. I didn't know if I keyed it in correctly. I'm a first timer on this blog...on any blog.
