Sports package brakes

Sports package brakes
Noob question.
Apart from the aesthetics of the brakes on the sport package with the logo on the calipers and the perforated rotors, are the brakes more functionally efficient?
Are the rotors and calipers larger on the sport package?

The calipers and rotors are larger with the AMG pack.
The standard rotors do not fully cover the backing plate while with the AMG rotors the backing plate is not visible.
I have the standard brakes and they work very well.

Aah. We learn so much on these forums.
They call it the "AMG styling package" here in ZA.
They come as exterior and interior separate options.
Very far from the real McCoy of course .
I wonder if the US sports package has the brakes like those with the AMG package??
Can anyone confirm.

AMG Line
My 2019 was ordered with the "AMG Line" code 321 having the larger brakes and choice of wheels. I got the 19" double spoke black. Nowhere on the invoice did it say "Sport Package" but I think they are the same thing in essence.

It is the same thing, AMG line/appearance, mine has it. From what i know the rotors are the same size, just the dimples and the lettered calipers.

I believe the sport brake package front rotors are bigger as well as the caliper. There have been discussions about the 18" spare tire, purchased for the GLC300 if the person wants to buy non-RFT's, not fitting on the front if sport brakes are fitted. You'd have to put the spare on the back and move the OEM rear wheel to the front. Also, if you buy brake rotors or pads for the GLC300, you have to specify whether they are the sport package or not.
