Cargo Liner for Pets?

Cargo Liner for Pets?
Hi all, new here after just purchasing my beautiful new 2016 GLC. I am not sure that I will ride too much with my dog - a light yellow and very sheddy labrador - but I was looking into possible liners for the cargo area of the GLC. Has anyone looked into or purchased this? Ideally I'd want something light colored with some extension to cover the tailgate so if she jumps up she doesn't scratch it. Thanks in advance for the advice!

I have the genuine cargo liner and two Labrador's.
MB do have a fold out rear bumper protector but I have been using an old towel for this purpose in the GLC and several previous MB wagons. I keep a towel half tucked under the cargo liner and fold the other half over the cargo liner so I can easily drop half the towel over the rear bumper whenever loading the Labrador's.
MB currently do not have a stainless steel/chrome rear bumper protector for the GLC which would be very useful for dog owners.

Quit spamming about the Weather Tech mats already. Are you getting a kickback or are you just a bot? ...just kidding, but I really can't see why people get excited about them. The WT aren't any better, cost more, and have that ugly red logo on them.
On my last new MB I compared the MB and WT mats. The material was the same, the fit was the same, but somehow the WT mats made the car look a little cheap, like when you see those clip on air fresheners over the vents on an old Corolla. If the WT mats didn't have a logo on them or it was at least the same subtle black on black as MB, then sure, but really why would you want to take away from the cohesive style and look of your new MB?
Just get the MB mats.

[B]First, why don't you take it down a notch when addressing persons you have never met. In answer to your question, no , I do not receive a kickback and I am not familiar with the term bot.
There is no doubt in my mind that weather tech makes the floor mats for MB. I have two MB and I have the MB in one vehicle but when I bought the GLC 300 MB does not have an all weather floor mat at this time. So I bought the weather tech rather than risking any potential damage to the GLC whilst awaiting for MB floor mats. Good Luck. I would have preferred the MB floor mats but again, they are not available at this time. /B]

MB offers all you need. I think a dealer could order them for you. Page 22.

I would also prefer to have MB rather than weather tech but I do not believe, and correct me if I am wrong, that MB does not have a liner type floor mat yet. And weather tech just introduced their floor liner and cargo liner only about 2 weeks ago. Again, I could be wrong, but I believe weather tech makes the MB liner also but they are not making it yet for MB.

BTW, MB dealerships always want the premium price when selling parts. I have found you can negotiate by telling them the price you can buy it on the internet, and no taxes, and they will usually match the lower price.

I ordered a cargo liner kit from Amazon about three weeks ago and just got it and installed it.
It fits very well. It is held on by velcro which I had hoped would just grab the carpet but the carpet isn't plush enough. It comes with PSA backed loop pieces and they stick on the carpet well and do the job. I'm a little concerned that the PSA may leave residue when I ultimately take the whole kit out but I prefer that to trashing all the carpet. I carry a mountain bike or skis often and this will keep the cargo area intact. I'm pretty happy with it. At $98, it is hard to beat. I took some photos but the photos on the Amazon page do it justice.

This looks like a winner! Nice find. I would like to load beach cruiser bikes. Do you have to remove front wheel to fit your bike more easily?

I do have to take the front wheel off to get a mountain bike in. I took a bike and a pair of skis to the MB dealer when I went to test drive the GLC and did a fitting. Just enough room with the front wheel off so that was my compromise so I didn't have to spend the extra $20K on a GLE.

I'm still happy with the cargo liner a year or so later. The velcro that is PSA'd on to the carpet sometimes lets loose when it is really hot and the car is parked outside but not so much that the liner falls off. I just push it back on when I think to and it seems to hold up. There is a rip in one of the side wall pieces due to my throwing something in there so it's doing it's job. No rip in the carpet. It is easy to keep clean and stays clean looking unless a really muddy bike goes in.
100 bucks well spent.
