MBWorld Fanatic!
On the plus side - RennTech is the most experienced and respected Mercedes tuner in the US.
I say this because all RennTech tunes I have personally seen done - all have been straight forward - and RennTech ECU mod does not trigger CEL - again, all to their credit
If you go to RennTech ECU - under Federal warranty law there is no impact on MBUSA warranty for the vehicle - other than "technically" the modified ECU loses warranty for the ECU part only - and RennTech will stand behind the ECU.
Keep the beat !

Just a note to owners of brand new GLCs...drive the car for at least a few thousand miles before getting a tune if you must. I held off after taking delivery of the car and am glad I did because our GLC43 has been acting weird (engine, computer, or tranny), and dealer can't say it's because of a tune we put in. BMWs with Dinan are cool because a Dinan tune won't void your warranty when it's installed by BMW. I wish MB had a similar arrangement with a tuner, and if they do, I'm just not aware of it. This is not a rip on any tuner, I will eventually get a tune.

Dinan has released some tuners for some of the other Mercedes vehicles, like the 300 series but nothing yet for the others. It will be interesting to see now that are are getting in the game looks like, if they will offer their warranty as well for our platform?

I hope any tuner can work something out with MB. I witnessed firsthand how that type of relationship between tuner and dealer can benefit owners who do not want to void their trans or engine warranty. BMW and Dinan worked together on a friend's Stage 3 car and he paid $0 to have the CEL issues resolved (car was out of commission for 2 weeks). He even got a free loaner car for the entire duration.

Didn't mean to thread jack in any way, I applaud Renntech for their work on AMG lines of the past and they will be one of the tunes I research when I'm comfortable with tuning our GLC43.

Bumping this to see if any GLC’ers out there have done a Renntech tune or if Renntech has any new comments/updates. I’m starting to get the more power itch and don’t think I want to jump to a 63 quite yet. Also, wondering how this may or may not effect the crackles/pops of the exhaust system. I have the standard exhaust and not a whole lot of “fireworks” unless in S+ and even then it’s somewhat tame for my liking.
MODS: possible to move to GLC43/63 forum? Thx!
