GLC driver seat outer edge

GLC driver seat outer edge
Hello all,
Just picked up my GLC yesterday(after five months because of the burl
wood option) and had a question for other owners.
Is it just me or does the outside edge of the drivers seat have a very
rigid bar as part of it's design? I damn near brused myself getting in the car at the dealership when my *** hit the seat edge.
I'm going to take a stab at the answer and that is they are all like this,
but I can't believe how hard the seat edge is.
(I have the leather seat package)

Yeah, kinda figured, but thought I'd check.
And I agree, very comfortable ONCE you're in them.
Something else to get used to/adjust to.
I bought the GLC sight unseen so I guess I'll know better next time.
