Just order 2017 GLE 43 AMG (Canadian)

I ran out of luck trying to order diesel GLS and GLE. ended up ordering 2017 GLE which is call 43 instead of 450.
Anyone here has more information and package change for 2017 ?

so the question is.. Does the GLE 43 and GLE 43 Coupe have the same engine as the GLE 450 or the new E 43?

2016 GLE 450 Coupe
From the pictures that I've seen from the press release in Japan, the new GLE 43 Coupe only seems to be the rebadge version of the 450, on the back and on the side with "Biturbo" badge. Even the front brake calipers are still badged with "Mercedes-Benz".

I've briefly checked the order sheet for GLE 43 Coupe in Japan and every option seems to be the same. Definitely still the same engine with 367HP.

2016 GLE 450 Coupe
Yes. The small "AMG" badge on the fender of 450 is replaced with "BITURBO" badge on 43.

Absolutely. If your car is not an AMG it does not deserve any AMG badges.

I get irritated when I see plain 550s with AMG badges. It's just plain wanabe-ish. Be happy with what you have.

Yes - you will be judged harshly. haha.
You will get more respect in your car as it stands. It's awesome. Own it.

BUT It already is a "AMG" 450 with AMG badge on the sides. And technically, IT IS a GLE 43 AMG. Mercedes Benz decides to make the AMG 450 models to be AMG 43. I am not advertising it to be something it isn't. How do you be "wanna be" when you already "are". If I badge it to be a 63 or 63s, then I can understand it being uncool.
Well, I will just be quiet. This whole AMG, M sport line subject has been discussed, argued over and over and over. Let's not start another one here.

ML 350
Mercedes just went thru a major campaign to align their naming convention for sedans and SUVs. With the announcement of the E43 AMG with revised 3.0L twin turbo 396hp 384ft/lb torque. One would think the new GLE43 should have the exact same drive train.
If Mercedes releases the new GLE43 AMG with the existing 3.0L with 362hp, this would be a huge mistake undermining what they originally wanted to accomplish.

As far as know. Nothing changes besides the badging. A few forum members, who already placed order on 2017 GLE 43 coupe, confirmed that

So is this different than a GLE400 or is this essentially the GLE450 of the SUV version?

I think it is just the regular SUV version of the 450 AMG coupe. Maybe MB will only have GLE350 in the future. then you gotta step up to get the GLE 43 or GLE 63
