Couple questions on used GLE 450 coupe's
I've been looking at used GLE 450 coupe's the last month or so. Just watching to see how prices have been and looking at various options and premium packages. I've found some inconsistencies with a few things and have some questions.
First, I'm aware that all GLE 450 Coupes in the US are 4matic's. I'm seeing quite a few without the 4matic badging on the back of them. Some have it, some don't. Is there any explanation for this? I'm thinking maybe early models were missing this or something?
Second, I'm seeing some coupes with black interiors have either a black or grey headliner. When i use the build tool on mbusa.com I don't see any option to be able to change this. Is that only a custom order deal that's done at the dealer? Seems like a black headliner is standard, and you must custom order a grey one?
However, my wife has a 2016 GLE 350 and its black mb-tex with grey interior. Were second owners, but pretty sure it was not a custom order car.
Lastly, I'm not a fan of the running boards. Say i find one with everything i'm looking for but it has running boards. How easy is it to remove them? Do i need some sort of cap to cap the holes that they mount to? Or is it best to just find one without the boards?
Thank you for any and all help!

If it's anything like a GLE350 Suv the running boards come off real easy and the new rocker panels bolt on quick. you'd get them unpainted from MB and consists of outer shell and inner piece.
I was quoted new around $1450 USD for a rocker panel set for the ML/GLE but ended up buying from a member on this board used.

You won't find an option to choose the headliner color on the MB website. However, it is in the dealer's ordering guide, which customers don't usually have access to. The salesperson will go over this during the purchase of a new vehicle. They may "show" you their ordering guide, but this is not something they normally give prospective customers.
As far as the 4matic badging, owners sometimes remove those themselves. They come off rather easily with a hair dryer and fishing line or dental floss.

Well... all good comments... some GLE450 Coupe owners have already ordered GLE43 coupe rear badging... 450 comes off... 43 goes back on which takes a sharp eye - best to have a genuine GLE43 next to the 450 when doing it - since it is a proportional/slight-slanted badge fitting to be corect placement to OE
