Placed an order for GLE43W4 SUV back in December. I've been given the expected build window as early APRIL (of course, I was originally told end of January, but got a phone call "update" 1st week in January since they really did not know what they were talking about in Dec)


Is this production schedule delay (for SUVs apparently) what others are seeing?

We ordered ours around Thanksgiving, 2016, and ours actually got moved up. Built in period 3 in January, and was supposed to be in February originally. Ours actually shipped late on a Thursday,and we got the call the next Monday that it was at the dealership. Way quicker than we anticipated...

I ordered 11/1/16 and was given an estimated delivery date of 3 months later. Vehicle was delivered to the dealer 2/6/17, one week later than their estimate. Your timetable seems a little long, but nothing surprises me.

I forgot that our truck was our dealers allotment for that timeframe. They still built it the way that we wanted, but the dealer used their allotment. That must be why we got ours so quick. Ordered about 11-19-16, delivered 1-22-17. Right at 60 days...

I ordered the GLE43W4 (FULL SUV) in Dec of 2016. The estimated build date was Jan 2017. It was then moved to March 2, 2017. The car is now blocked RED. No changes possible, so march 2, 2017 is the locked production date. Hope this helps.

It is good to see another somewhat similar experience. My dealer never really did seem to understand what was going on with the change from GLE400 to GLE43 (& some other clueless statements) -- so I was suspicious. On the up side, the long delay did allow me to make a couple tweaks to the build. Guess I'll look forward to getting blocked
