You can try this guy with Beshoff Motors in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I purchased my GLK 350 RWD for $3,000 off of MSRP on March 31st. This is a "stripped-down" GLK - no options or accessories - not even paint since my exterior is Black. After I agreed to the deal, I received a call-back from another dealer in GA for another $861 less for identical vehicle (I would have had to drive about 2 hours to take delivery and wanted one throat to choke so I kept my local AL deal).

Just stay away from Houston Texas dealers as they will try to sell you at MSRP.

Congrats on the new ride. That's pretty good deal for empty GLK, what was the final price 30k? BTW black is a color, too, so your GLK does have paint no worries.

GLK350 4Matic + Paint + P1 + MM + Appearence Package + Pre-Wire + iPod for $43,500.

North Houston MB dealer was very open to negotiations. I think I could have got them lower. Oh Well!

I think I may have to clarify my point...
I am having trouble working with dealers locally in Houston on a ordered car (with Keyless GO). The cars that are on the lot they do seem more willing to deal on.
But none have Keyless GO obviously.
Maybe the strategy is to wait till these things start showing up with Keyless GO then go find one that fits my specs and deal with a on-lot unit.

Ah Yes! My GLK was off the lot.

Just curious, if you have this Keyless GO thing, how do you open the windows and roof before getting in the car? A must have for Houston.

I have never open the windows and roof before entering the car in the summer in Houston.
But to answer your question, you would have to press the key fob to do that...kind of the old fashion way
But if you don't do the window/roof opening thing, then you don't even have to get the key out of your pocket or (ladies) handbag to unlock the car and start it.

They weren't interested in ordering a car with the equipment I wanted for me. They kept trying to tell me that I did not need some of the options that I wanted (eg. light package).
We never even made it to pricing discussion...there was no point since he was only interested in selling what he had or could locate from a nearby source.

Completely unprofessional in my opinion, I would ask to speak with the GM. Oh well, I guess they don't need your business, plenty of dealers out there who do.

And to think that 2 of my friends bought their MBs there (C350 and C63)...

I have found some very good dealers a little outside of Houston, and these people actually listen to what you want and try to make it come true.

All I would say get the car you want. Prior to my order, I went to nearly 4 dealers, and when I told them what I wanted they were like sorry we can't give you that much of a discount. At the end, I found a dealer who did, and acutally gave it to two more members who are on this board without any issues. At the end of the day, there is always someone out there who wants your $$, so I guess a little patience will pay off, and you will get the car with all options you like. Best of luck and keep us posted.

price it at cars.com and see for yourself. Your price should invoice. Sounds about right but I think can find better, small options can make a difference so can't tell you for sure how good this deal is.

I got mine with PP, MM, Sport, hitch, xenons and in metallic color for 44k.

I used to live in CT, went to Quinnipiac.
I'm now in NJ, got mine from Benzel Bush in Englewood, NJ. If you go to a larger high volume dealer they should be able to search entire northeast as well as incoming boats and get car from any other dealer. My car was on the boat heading to Collorado, when I was buying it. I think xenos are def. worth the effort. Good luck.

That's less then $500 over invoice. GO FOR IT!
Most dealers are not gonna go near this deal regardless what others may say?

How acurate is the invoice amount on cars.com and edmums. I said to the sales man
that you pay 33,500 invoice and he said I whish, so Is he just lying or Is he right.

They pay less than invoice price shown on cars.com/edmunds However, invoice for the car you mentioned would not be 33,500. The easiest estimate is 7% off of MSRP, or around 3k off. So if sticker price is 47 you should get it for around 44. 33.5 invoice is for empty GLK AWD with no options.
