Navigation antenna location
I'm losing satellite reception periodically and feel that there is a loose connection somewhere. From the connection in the back of the command, where does it go/splits??? I would appreciate any other help with this situation...thanks

i just looked this up on my AllData disk and it appears the connection is under the glove box. They give you instructions for diagnosis and repair and also for retrofit with another antenna. Unfortunately there are several sections so screen snaps would not be discernible here.
I bought the disk (#27) off ebay for $20.00 (I have a 2010 4-matic, GLK) but you can also just get the access directly for a year from alldata.com for $16.95.
So far I have found it a very useful resource for requests such as this. DIY is much easier when the tips are revealed.

Thanks for the helpful reply. I'm only guessing that it's my antenna but I am losing sat reception and the command puts me into some random location...usually in a lake or in the ocean.
When you say under the glove box, can you be more specific please...thanks.

They talk you through a few scenarios and then show you the cable(s) and where they are located in general. If you were to read the individual statements and see the images it would make more sense, they design their manuals to be used to walk through depending on what you find , I guess as I see multiple (if-then) type of statements.
Under the glove box where you access the cabin filter there is also access to the junction where the antenna and the navigation system interconnect from what I am reading, its multiple pages and interconnected images. I am sorry I cant just lay this out and show you what I see better.
From what your describing however I would imagine that if the connection was an issue you would have no nav at all, not putting you in a different location. I would also check the TSBs to see if there is a firmware update etc for your software ver number.
