Will the Headlights and Taillights from a 2013 fit a 2010
Hello all,
Was driving down the road this morning and saw one of the 2013 GLK's and the lights looked pretty good. Does anyone know if the lights can be easily swapped between models? or did they change shape/ electrical?
Just thought it would give a current look to my 2010 model
Thanks
Shane

Good luck. Taillights: No way. Headlights: Very doubtful. Are you talking about the Premium headlights? If so, get a second mortgage on your house. If it is even possible. I reckon the shape of the units is very different.

If you have the standard tail lights they offered LED tail lights as an option on the 2010 as part of the lighting package. I have them they are very nice. If you were willing to spend $$ for the 2013's look into the ones that actually fit your vehicle. You may have to have the computer changed to recognize the LED's otherwise you will probably get a fault code.

Headlights are a different shape so it'll be a lot of work (money) to get it to work out. Tail lights are the same shape so it'll likely be easier (but still moderately costly). Probably involving either reprogramming of the rear SAM or a new rear SAM all together.

is it even possible to change the same headlight style but with xenon functionality rather than the standard halogen lights ? I have a 2010 GLK with the standard halogen lights and I would like to have the xenon without going around looking for HID kits !

I installed bi-xenon lens instead of OEM halogen lens. It`s not intelligent light, but much better that halogens. Bi-xenon lens are from E classe ( W211 )

2010 color of wires on the driver side tail light assembly:
Brown: Ground
Blue/Grey: Reverse (used on my ultrasonicn backup alarm)
Black/Red: tail light only bulb
Green: ?? Not sure -- fluctuates with turn signal, but use the Black/White below
Black/White: Left Turn
Pink: PWM tail and brake bulb
On the passenger side the turn signal is Black/Green.
anyone have the same info for the 2013? i think by repining the plug and using resistors we can make this a pretty straight forward modification.
