Yesterday when I turned on the Sat Radio I got a very quick Updating Channels message. It was there and gone in under 1 second and if I hadn't been looking, I would have missed it. Anyone else experience that? I haven't had my car in for service, so if something changed, it had to be on the Sirius side.

2014 GLK250, 2014 Mustang Convertible, 2000 Ford Ranger, 04 Honda ST1300
I've put on 15,000 kilometers and witnessed 2 lockups, both reset with the 10 second power off method. Yesterday I witnessed the first 2 second updating message. I'm thinking this Sirius issue has been resolved. Now I'll consider renewing my subscription.

The issue is not fixed. Just did it again yesterday on my 2014 GLK350. I contacted my dealer and they told me MB still has not issued any fix. Today I got my Sat renewal notice which I will not take. I will just listen to my CD's.

Same Sirius prob with 2015 SL400
Maybe 10% of the time, when I start the vehicle receive "updating channels." Current channel comes thru loud and clear. But otherwise I'm locked out -- can't change presets or do anything else with satellite radio. Radio has been re pinged by Sirius.
Anyone else experience this? Never had a prob with Xm on our Cadillac. Should I ask for the Comand unit to be switched out?

So, I just leased the 2015 SL400. Drove it 25 miles to my home, pulled it in the garage and when I started it up again later that evening my SIRIUS RADIO was UPDATING CHANNELS. Drove around like that for about 20 minutes. Stopped for dinner, started car a few hours later and it was fine. Took it out this morning and was working fine. Parked and shopped for an hour, started car and, again, stuck on UPDATING CHANNELS. I agree that it's not the end of the world, but it is annoying. Seems like this has been a problem for several years and wondering when this will be addressed properly or if there is a resolution. Will call my dealer tomorrow (today is Sunday) and proceed from there. Will post update here - hopefully it will be a positive one. *I'm new here, so if I posted in the wrong place, my apologies... just looking for help! Thanks!

Short answer is, reset the radio; hold down the power button of the COMAND unit until it reboots.
There supposedly now is a fix as of late September, but I haven't checked with my dealer yet. I will tell you that he had the car for multiple visits, and finally confirmed the issue.

2015 GLA 250
Just bought my wife new 2015 GLA 250 2 weeks ago. "Updating Channels" started about 3-4 days after purchase. Took to local dealer, said they did a complete "reset", but of course, started happening again the next day.
So, still not fixed, issue is pervasive through many models apparently.

Post 94 has the LI number. LI numbers don't change when they are updated, only the version changes. I do not post such information like that as it is not mine to distribute. A reputable Mercedes-Benz retailer also would have no problem locating the LI when you enter the dealer and provide the service advisor with the complaint you are experiencing.
The tech then has several different ways they can associate the correct LI to the vehicle as it is all done by VIN. If you have doubts about your choice of dealers service ability, then I would suggest you address that with MBUSA CAC and the dealer management.

Thanks. I thought the LI number just noted how to reset the radio which really did not fix the issue but if it is updated with the fix then I now understand.
