I found out that my lights were aimed completely horizontally, I had no real effective light to illuminate pot holes, which is what I needed in Chicago. And I'm sure I was blinding oncoming traffic. With the HID and aiming the lights fully down I can really see now. Consider looking into how they are aimed, it might help you as well if they are aimed out to far. No issue so far with them , lighting up the roads . I'm sure there's adjustment screws the backs of the head lamps

I use a led low beam , brand is opt7 , hi beam different types since it was a H15 with drl and high beam on the same bulb I'll have to get them name at work . Light output on the Highs are 4k lumens at 6k kelvin . just wanted all 3 lights to match reason going with the LED setup.
