Possible to deactivate Keyless Go?

Wonder if there is a way through the OBD to turn off the Keyless Go function such that the keys will operate as if the vehicle is not equipped with the option. TIA!

Not sure how your vehicle is setup, but in mine there is nowhere to even put a key Only the fob and start button, with the key inside the fob being an emergency measure for the trunk and doors only.

You can pull the start button out and then use the key to start vehicle. I don't think there is a way to disable the door opening function.

Very very slow
Not sure why you want to go that route while many owners want to add keyless go after their purchase.
Just like JALLEN4 suggested, pull out the start button to start the car with your key.
For the doors, there are connectors on each of those handle, which you can disconnect to disable the button on the door handle or a fuse some where???

Question is from a viewpoint of our next GLK so I was not familiar with how the keyless operates. Wife does not want the keyless feature but that takes many vehicles out of the realm of possibilities when purchasing used. Amazing that people want this option but do not want better lighting offered with the Bi-Xenon lighting!

Keyless go seems like a gimmick add-on but I have it in my car and I love it.
Too bad, one of the my door's sensor is not working and I am out of warranty.
I agree about the Bi-Xenon lightning, it's great.

I have a GLK with Keyless-Go and an E350 without. Gave no thought to it when I bought them and only have it because it was already there on a vehicle that fit my needs.

Trust me, never again! Hands-down the best feature on either vehicle. E350 has the Premium package and for the life of me I don't understand why Keyless-Go is not standard on every Mercedes. Wife needs to re-assess her thoughts.

What I don't understand is why MB charges almost a grand for it.

I have it on my Infiniti G37 coupe, and while I do like it to me the best feature is the memory seats integrated into the wireless fob, meaning if I use my fob to open the door the seats automatically adjust to me settings without me having to touch (or hold down! ) another button.

That's what needs to come on every MB...

Yeah, the keyless go add-on is on the expensive side but which add-on from MB is not?
The keyless go on the GLK is on all 4 door handles, not just the two front doors like some other manufactures.

You can disable Keyless Go by unplugging the Keyless Go module. It is located underneath the floor of the rear cargo area, to the left of the rear fuse block (when viewed from the back of the car). It is somewhat tricky to get to, but when you do, you just have to disconnect the two CANBUS wires that go to it to take it out of the circuit. Brown and Brown/Red wires, I believe.

If you ever want to re-enable it, just put the wires back.

But this is such an awesome feature, I don't get why anyone would want to disable it.

I have the feature in My Maxima and I love it. I don't know why MB doesn't make it standard on all their vehicles.

What is you wife's reasons for not liking it? Just curious because other than being resistant to change I really cant imagine why.
