New GLK250 Bluetec Owner

I just picked up a 2015 GLK250 Bluetec this past weekend and thought I would introduce myself here.

It is a replacement for my VW Tiguan which was totaled in a freeway accident. The VW was nice, but the mpg was nothing to brag about.

Really liking the extra mpg of the GLK and even though I picked up a zero option car, except for metallic paint, there are a lot of nice things that were missing from my VW.

Here are a couple of pics.

Congratulations. I also bought a low option GLK250 (2014)

Less options in my mind means less things to go wrong, esp if they are electronic!

Thanks. I'm loving the new ride. It's not as fast as my 335d, but the mpg, comfort and utility more than make up for that. I also specifically wanted a low option car since I think it is the best value.

In 15,000 miles over 7 months, the range of mpg per tank full (fills of 12 to 15.4 gals) has been 33 to 41 mpg. The highest mpg I have seen (computer screen) has been 51.6 mpg over 90 miles. This thing is too much fun to try to post 52+ mpg for a tank full.

I have had my 2014 GLK250 for about 11 months with 14k miles on it. I still really enjoy this vehicle and have been averaging 33 MPG.

Thanks. I'm new to M-B and looking to learn more about the GLK and maybe do a few tasteful mods....

Hey enjoy your new ride.

I went for minimal options too, HID's, electric tailgate and interior lighting. Luckily, I found one without the sun roof.

+120,000 km in 6 months, ... no problems to speak of.

Have fun, ...play safe
