glk300 vs glk 350

Hey!!
i´m new here, from Brazil. Got a question....does anyone know why we get the glk300 in brazi instead of the glk 350?? are there any differences? (what are they)??
also wanted to know why is the glk300 (brazil) announced w/ 252 hp, but 302 hp everywhere else....
thanks!!

Very very slow
Different engines, 3.5L for North America and 3.0L (I think) for where you are.

different model numbers and designations for different countries because equipment is country specific. Standards vary by country and cars are equipped according to national standards.

May be it has been de-tuned in Brazil.

I know in Vietnam, GLK300 has a 3.0L engine and it costs roughly 90K USD.

they have the same engine! The difference is that you engine is degraded to 247 hp (in my case glk 300 2015 in México) you can unleash the power! by reprogram the computer or unlock the software

De-tune my 302hp U.S. spec. 2014 GLK350 to 247hp and give me a few more miles per gallon fuel economy! (and/or allow me to use regular gasoline instead of Premium!)
Don't see any need for 302hp...

the 300+ HP was way more power than I needed... and I am thrilled with the 35+MPG that I'm getting on the BT. I've driven it close to 1000 miles and only filled up once

How's the quality of your gas compared to the U.S.?

They might have de-tuned it to compensate for lower octane...

poor mileage can be traced back to ethanol in your fuel. In the US gas is mixed with up to 10% ethanol which can translate up to about a 10% decrease in fuel economy.
