2013 GLK350 Transmission Issue

Hey all... could use some insight. I took my car up the street to a service center that has worked on other cars of mine in the past and have done so with a good job. Anyway... they did my 40k service on my GLK and today (which included a transmission flush). When I picked it up, the change in gears doesn't seem smooth. Had some jerking. I called them up and they had me bring it back in and they redid it and added more fluid and still the same problem. The guy told me that he called a contact of his and was told that resetting the service thing/timer/setting/whatever it's called might fix the problem. I don't know. Doesn't sound right. Anyone have any ideas?

Could really use some help please!

I can appreciate trying to save money on what is a very over priced service at the MBZ dealership. On the other hand, as a long time new car dealer and previous service manager, there are certain items of service that need experience with the make.

Take it to the dealer and have the problem corrected before it possibly becomes a bigger problem.

All fixed. Took 2 minutes. The shop had a Mercedes guy plug in his computer and that was it. Drives like normal. Sorry... I will disagree with you. I have used the Mercedes shop and they are good, but I'm not spending $2000+ for a transmission flush, oil change, and brake fluid change. Those are the bulk of the service items in the 40k service. The shop did everything for less than half. Additionally, I needed new tires and I saved $350 by going through my local shop.

Next tranny flush, have the shop check the schedule.

On my 2013 GLK250 ... the tranny flush was scheduled at 120,000 km. (canadian spec GLK).

The schedule is correct. 40k miles gets a transmission flush. It's in my manual, confirmed it with the dealer, and it was on the records at the service center I used.

Thumbs up

I kinda figured so, ... must be a difference with the 250 Bluetech ... my oil changes are also at 15,000 km instead of 10,000 km for the 350.

Enjoy your ride
