New GLK Owner
New to the GLK but not to Mercedes Benz or MBWorld.org. We just picked up our 2015 GLK350 last night. It's going to be the wife's daily driver. I inherit the '04 E-Class 4Matic Wagon.
The GLK is a replacement for our E-Class sedan. It's a little smaller inside, but we didn't really need 2 mid sized cars. Ironically, I only drove the car around the parking lot of the dealership because I felt that it was more important that the wife drive the car while I watched our son.
So far, she's in love with the car. We got the multi-media package and the (I think it's called) the P1 package?
The wagon stays the garage queen while the GLK gets covered driveway parking. It's a matter of vehicle length and how the cars would maneuver in and out of our tight driveway.

I could go for a GLK350 AWD & a "E" class wagon but the latter would have to be an E55 or an E63 AMG wagon. Not so good in snow but the grin factor during the summer months would be great compensation. If the wife is happy, the world spins smoothly!

An E55/E63 would be nice, but we bought our '04 E320 sedan brand new. We owned the car for 10.5 years and just sold it last week to make room for the GLK. We liked that car so much that we bought the wagon version of it. That's how we ended up with the 4Matic wagon. Neither are/were the AMGs or the V8's. But they have plenty of power for our daily driving needs. We used to joke that after spending the day inside a tightly sprung race car, all we wanted for our street cars was a sofa on wheels!

True, but it's unnecessarily large and I don't like to look like a 90's rapper! ... and most important of all, I like my car brands to have some racing pedigree. Mercedes just won the 2014 F1 constructor's championship... but Cadillac has probably won the World Challenge a few times.... not quite F1 but not bad either.

I hear you.
Thay also drive like a king-size bed; lots of acceleration but absolutely NO road feel.
Gee, kinda sounds like a Cadillac...
