cool, none on this side either.

I did some reading and stand corrected. While technically it's not called warping, but the pad material can build up on the rotor, which won't go away with hard braking. At best rotors can be resurfaced, but in most cases they have to be replaced. The cure is bedding pads in, so make sure you bed your new pads/rotors in a bit.

I came here to ask if anyone else had dealt with a similar issue more to determine what I might be up against with the dealer. That was before I had spoken to the dealer.

In all my experience with MB (AMG OR NOT, lol) they have been pretty fair and reasonable.

And of course 20k miles is absurd to replace rotors! That is in part why I originally posted. That together with I have never gotten less than 90k miles out of a set of brakes on my other Benzes. And yes, tiptronic transmissions are a beautiful thing. Never a trans problem, and 90k+ miles per set of brakes!

No hard feelings.
FWIW, this is fairly common on the GLK. I had to replace pads & rotors F&R at 22.5K; do a search here and you will see others as well...

Our front ones replaced yesterday at less than 16K.... warped rotors. Covered by warranty, though.

EDIT : Test drove it yesterday, and checked the mileage. Remembered the actual mileage wrong. Less than 15K. A bit more than a year old car. But all OK now.
