Vibration on 2015 GLK 250
Just bought this new car two weeks ago. Noticed there are vibrations whenever I start or stop the engine. Opened the hood yesterday and can clearly see the engine moves a bit when the car is turned on.
Is this normal? Or, is it supposed to be quiet?

I guess it depends on the severity of the vibrations... I mean, it's a four cylinder diesel so it's not going to run as somooth as a 6-pot gas burner, but again, there shouldn't be anythign excessive (like the car vibrating when you're idling) or that you wouldn't notice on any other car. A vibration when you are only starting and stoppig the engine - any engine - is normal, seing as you have to oversome the momentum of all those moving parts inside. It's the same thing as saying "I jerk forward when I step hard on the brake and am pushed back in my seat when I accelerate".
If in doubt, take it to the dealer for a checkup and they'll tell you whether what you're seeing is normal. It's a two week old car.

Just a personal comment - diesel has come a long/long way - on "startup" - think of a disel engine as "self-igniting" - so yes, startup on your GLK250 will start with 1 or 2 of the cyclinders 1st, and in same second fires up all.. so a little quick engine shudder is to be expected ... as compared to old disel tech, new tech disels like your GLK have come a long-long-long-long way..
