Garlic butter with that roll?
I'm 5,500 miles into my 2015 GLK 350 and I noticed two very annoying occurrences.
1) When I'm parked on an incline or decline and engage the emergency brake the car rolls forward/backwards approximately 4".
2) When I engage into reverse or drive after parking from an incline or decline position the transmission makes a noticeable "thud".
Are both instances normal or something they can fine tune when I bring it in for my Service A maintenance?
I expected more from a prestigious brand like Mercedes. This is kind of crude. The e-brakes on my 2002 Audi A4 never performed this way.

I would suggest that the parking brake cable has stretched a bit as they normally do with usage. Try pushing it down another click and see if it still rolls.
With the parking brake not fully engaged, the car will roll until the transmission takes up the drive line slack and stops it. This is not an ideal situation so the parking brake should be pressed harder.
With no slack in the drive line when shifting from park to any other gear it is normal to hear a thud or clunk. The solution to this is to fully engage the parking brake to prevent the drive line binding.
If the parking brake will not hold the car stopped in neutral on an incline no matter how hard it is pressed then there may be a problem with it and it should be looked at by a service tech.
Have you considered pressing harder on the parking brake to stop it from rolling? :-)

I agree with FJG. Test the parking brake; locate yourself on that incline, set the parking brake, select neutral - not park - and carefully release the regular brakes. See if the parking brake is holding or not. As FJG said, I think you'll find you just need to set the P-brake better.

The parking brake is pressed to its maximum position and it still slides. I'll take it to the local dealer and have them look at it. Does this warrant a loaner car if I drop it off?

The loaner is up to your dealer but most will offer alternative transportation if the repair will take a bit of time. My dealer uses Enterprise. In fact before I bought a car from him service gave me a loaner for my annual.
