Mt Washington climb 2015 GLK 350
Hey Folks,
I am planning a drive up Mt Washington this weekend. Do you guys think GLK would hold up the climb? How bad the impact on breaks gonna be on the way down. Any tips?

Your drive down will be MUCH easier if you become familiar with your tranny paddles.
3-sec procedure: Pulling/hold left paddle 3-seconds ill drop you to "power" gear for that speed. 1st sec drops 1 gear, then in 2nd/3rd sec drops to "power" gear which can be used to decelerate and hold spped. 3-sec pull/hold right paddle will take you to auto. And/or at "power" gear one click right is up one gear, one clock left will take you down another gear - etc.
Practice 3-sec procedure on the way up to improve the climb - and use 3-sec procedure on the way down for adding engine braking/speed-hold on top of brake use .
You'll do fine as you become comfortable with this fresh procedure for you.
Keep the beat !

Wow Fabbrisd1, does this 3 sec pull procedure work with different MB cars ? I have never heard of it and I will definitely want to try it on both our 15 GLK and 14 CLS if it works across the family of current MBs. Right now I just click left multiple times to downshift.
