Poly-V-Belt Replacement Interval?
So what is the recommended mileage interval for replacement of the V-Belt on the GLK350? In my maintenance manual, inspection is regularly listed. I see replacement at 120K miles for a hybrid ML and S-series, but can't find it for the GLK. Thanks for the info.

The poly v-belt is much more durable than the v-belt found on the ML. The poly has multiple v's in it whereas the standard belt is a singular v and much more prone to cracking. Not that poly v-belts are terribly expensive and MB would like to sell it to you it is just worth checking and replacing when necessary.

Just to reaffirm what was posted as I just had my 150K check on my 2010 GLK, the Poly V-Belt is definitely an on-condition item. Mine was inspected and shows little wear - and mechanic recommended a check every 20K.

My GLK is at 95KM and heard a squeaking coming from the hood. Inspected and it sounded like the upper right pulley the belt is on. Almost ordered both pulleys and belt but decided to just change the belt to start. Belt was 44$ and about 30 min to change. Back sounding great again!
