GLK350 4-MATIC
Tail Light Assy Replacement
I recently purchased a '13 GLK350 used and have had it for just over 2 weeks, so far the car has been excellent and I am really enjoying it.
The only issue so far is I found a small hairline crack in my rear right taillight lens. Since I live in the arctic of Chicago, this tiny crack has quickly turned into a large crack due to the cold temperatures (water getting into the crack and freezing).
So my question:
Has anyone on here ever needed to replace the tail light assembly? Is this a job I can do on my own, with limited mechanical expertise?
I've found that the lenses can't be replaced, so I'm thinking I will need to purchase an entire new housing. Which online don't seem to be too ridiculously priced...
$200.39 - http://www.koperformance.com/part-nu...048201464/ULO?
$183.30 - http://www.new-part.com/product/merc...-820-14-64-new
Thanks,
Mark
