Review: Win Power Headlights (Lighting Package Replicas)
Some Backstory: My wife and I purchased the last model year of the GLK and, at the time, we were unable to find a model in stock that already had all of the packages that we wanted. We ended up settling on a car that had most of the packages, but was missing the lighting package. We were happy with the purchase at the time, but we grew tired of the halogens and honestly, we were surprised a Mercedes wouldn't come with better lighting standard. So my quest to find out what was involved in swapping out the standard halogen headlights for the lighting package projector/hid headlights began. That was unsuccessful as the harnesses were different and would require more work than its worth. I stumbled on the Win Power headlights and they looked almost identical to the lighting package headlights. Knowing how my wife is, I had to do what I could to make her happy, so I bit the bullet and gave them a try. Below are some pictures and hopefully it will help others who ran into a similar issue.
Overall thoughts: The lights are comparable to OEM quality at a glance. They are solidly built and they are plug and play like they described. You won't get the auto leveling features or any of the fancy features that come with the lighting package. These headlights basically only give you the look (LED DRLs, LED turn signals, projectors, and HIDs). Pricing isn't as expensive as the lighting package but it wasn't cheap either. I was relieved there was a good enough quality option as my wife kept regretting not getting it from the dealer. The cut off is pretty clean, but it's hard to tell from the blurry picture. Hope this post helps others that are on the fence. While I'm not sure on the longevity of the headlights, they look and feel solid almost OEM. The only downside so far are the errors I've received below. I haven't had time to look into them too much but hopefully there's an easy fix.

How much was the price? I saw their website as $899.00 for a pair? I think it is sure plug and play but missing a side marker light or an open plug that needs to be connected. How long was the shipping and install? Does the DRL turn on? Does the turn signal flash normally? Did it come with and install manual? Thanks!

I would assume that the error is due to the change to an LED in the side marker lights. A common issue across pretty much every car forum. You can add an inline resistor to solve the problem. I'm no expert, so I wouldn't be able to tell you which to get, but some googling will probably lead you in the right direction.

I just checked a glk with the oem lighting package and it does have the side marker light. Maybe using the one from the old one could help eliminate the error code?

Has anyone else purchased these headlights? What is the quality? Any success with getting rid of the error message? Online they are $1300 now, where did you find $899? Thanks everyone.

I spoke to the build quality in the original post, but it is a well built product and resembles OEM quality. I can't give any feedback regarding longevity because I haven't had it long enough but in the two months I've had them, they've held up excellently.
Regarding the errors, I've had no luck. The vendor has been very helpful and will be sending a higher rated resister to see if that will help. In the mean time, I've tried to reset via an OBDii reader which didn't work because it didn't see the error at all. I tried scheduling an appointment with Mercedes to which they said they could program the car to try looking for the LED bulb rather than the halogen bulb, but I would need the LED part number which I didn't have. They wanted to charge $145 to reprogram it but I didn't want to risk it not knowing if it will even fix the error. Right now I'm awaiting the vendor to send me the new resistor to test it out. I'll update once received. Not sure if anyone else will have better luck with Mercedes but they were unhelpful during my visit.

The thing I notice in the picture is it's missing ng the yellow side marker lights. Would adding a bulb fix it instead?

We just purchased a used GLK350 and it doesn't have the lighting package either. It's unfortunate the headlights cannot simply be 'swapped' out. As pricey as these Win Power headlights are I'm actually very interested in buying them. Aside from the price, I'm hesitant to move forward with a purchase due to the errors you mentioned they're giving. Were you ever able to resolve these errors?

I thought the errors only happen if you have the oem led. But original halogen headlights means it's plug and play?

I got an email back from the company and the price from them is a lot cheaper and looks like $799, i asked about the error codes and they said they fixed the problem and supplied resistors. From what I've read the resistors need to be installed out of the head light as they get very hot.

it was winpower's website and just contacted them from there, alibaba has a bunch now for about the same price but to sure if they're the same quality. I plan on buying them but waiting for the right time type of thing.

Thanks for the info. I'll wait it out a few months as well. Haven't even made the first payment yet on the car!

I have tried 2 different packs and transformers from clark at v12icpack.com. Both were tested and working on his s600. His is not a biturbo but everything worked as it should. My mechanic is leaning toward wiring but its been over a month so he is probably just guessing like i was. We both have star diagnostics and it shows the the pack is shutoff before even starting the vehicle sometimes.
I appreciate the response and any advice. This has been quite a process and my car needs to be smogged next month.
