Hi Everyone,
New to the forum....need help replacing the low beam
headlamp for my wife's 2013 Glk350. It has the halogen headlamp. I couldnt figure out how to get this going. Lot of instruction mentioned about pulling a spring up but this holder doesnt have such spring. Im attaching the picture of the holder. Please take a look and help me. Appreciate it. Thanks everyone!!

Looks to me like a H7 bulb.
From that picture, I think, you have to push in/bend the top clip a bit to release the bulb and then gently wiggle it out.
The bulb is clearly held in place by those 3 holders, at 11, 4 & 7 clock positions in your picture.
The top one, at 11 o'clock, that has the "flat" piece of the bulb, is the one you should be able to " unclip" to release the bulb.
You can easily see, that the middle of that clip has a smaller, separate clip, that keeps the bulb locked in place and position. Maybe, gently, pushing that small, middle clip part upwards a bit. No big tools or brutal force needed.

Anyone done this and got any tips? I tried what above post suggested but trying to push that top middle clip upwards is not that easy. I tried with fingers at first and then using a flat head screwdriver but seems like I am going to break something.

Tip is that it only cost $20 to have the dealer do both sides and 30 minutes of your time. At least that is what my dealer charged including bulbs. Cheaper than a ticket for a bad headlamp.

Changed out both sides for a total price including parts, labour, and tax of $33.49. Done in less than 15 minutes of arriving at dealer.
Oh that is Canadian cash so it would be around $25 U.S.

lamp replacement
Sure the cost of the low beam is not one of MB dealer's costlier services, but for those who still want to do some DIY, you lift the lamp up from the 6 oclock poistion away from the 4 and 7 oclock clips, and move up into the 11 oclock clip. Once you have moved the housing up, you then move the lower half outwards at the lower clips release the housing. Doesn't take much more than that. Hope that helps.

My husband was going to change out the bulb until i read someone’s reply on here saying the dealership will change it free of charge . I paid $31 for the bulb at Mercedes and a technician installed it for free in less than 10mins. They install it on the side of the building where they put air in your tires and fluids. You don’t need an appointment cause they aren’t pulling it in the garage. It’s an easy and quick fix.
