When I did mine, some of the buttons/steps from the video were a little different. Just mess around till the lights flash and stuff.

reviving an old thread, but want to update/put information where it may be found
2010 GLK350 4matic
trying to get the garage door opener in the mirror to work with a liftmaster 85XX.
You need a Model: HOMELINKRPTR to make it work.
Plug in the homelinkrptr to 120v (us)
use the remote supplied with the homelinkrptr to program the mirror
press learn on the liftmaster 85XX (located on the wall mounted button that opens and closes the garage door)
press the button on the mirror x3 times
